Stillorgan, Co Dublin was the first of many a modern urban innovation - it had the first shopping centre in Ireland, the first ten pin bowling alley, and the first stretch of dual carriage way went past it to make its modern wonders accessible to all. It grew from a small village in the '30s to a big suburban development by the '60s. It was part of my childhood by the late '70s and '80s with trips to Blakes Restaurant for half a chicken in a basket followed by a Knickerbocker Glory. My father taught canoeing for a while in Glenalbyn pool and we'd sometimes meet him afterwards for a great Chinese meal in Ping's. There's a lot of past and present coming together in this I Love Stillorgan print and it'll make a lovely memento for someone who grew up in the area. This print designed by Susan Brambell is A3 in size and is sold rolled in a tube for ease of worldwide posting. It fits into an IKEA frame or similar.
